The Dead Love

Australia has a long tradition of producing iconic rock bands. From AC/DC to Jet, Australia’s love affair with rock is the quintessence and constant of Aussie culture. Next on the scene in this rock n roll lineage is Sydney 3 piece The Dead Love.

When grammy nominated producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith called The Dead Love management down the line from Austin,Texas in June 2012 he had three words, I'm f'*****g  In.

Frenchie had previously produced Oz rock gods "Jet"  as well as the Dandy Warhols and The Darkness so was no stranger to loud young lads.

Fast forward to March 2013 , The Dead Love are one of hottest unsigned acts in the country. Their Austin, Texas recorded debut album "TRANSITIONS" is currently being mixed across the atlantic by another legendary Chris, Chris Sheldon ( Foo Fighters , Garbage , Billy Clyro ).

Transitions will be released in the coming months.

The Band Are :

Stevie Knight - Guitar & Vocals

Clint Ossington - Bass & Vocals

Chris Blancato - Drums

The Dead Love are not misleading when they call themselves Rock, however.  If anything, they are underselling themselves.  The Dead Love aren’t just Rock – they are face-melting, ear pounding, ass-kicking Rock – the way our forefathers intended it to be - Marsbands

I heard many good things about this band before tonight, but i felt that hardly anything i was told did this awesome live performance any justice. This band is high energy, four on the floor hard rock that are quite a force to be second with - Sludge Factory

The Dead Love have that aged and experienced sound that most bands take years to develop….Our hopes are high that more bands like this can save our dying live music industry - Blunt Magazine
