Gypsies and Gentlemen
2012 has been a busy year for Sydney indie rock band, Gypsies and Gentlemen. Having only been together since late 2011, they have already made a serious impression on the Indie music scene.
Playing in venues such as the Annandale, Forbes hotel, The Roxbury and the Hard Rock Café, their shows have been described as “having a strong sound that explodes when they play live!”. Bringing their own take on the modern rock genre, bands such as Incubus, Kings of Leon, Explosions in the Sky and City & Colour, have been used to describe their eclectic range of original tracks.
The band comprises of Alex Zucchi on lead vocals, Steve Frances on electric guitar, John Balestri on electric guitar, Trent Bulfin on bass and Mitch Bell on the drums. Coming together in 2011, some having known each other for many years and a few fresh friends added to the mix, they started with the goal of writing and playing music that they themselves would want listen to and haven’t gone back on it yet.
With a debut EP in the works and plans for an east coast tour, 2013 is shaping up to be a big year for Gypsies and Gentlemen.
